On October 30, 2019 Massimo Cavalletti will sing the role of Conte di Luna in Il trovatore at the Teatro Giuseppe Verdi of Salerno, in a new production by Renzo Giaccheri under the musical direction of Maestro Daniel Oren, the first of a series of three performances running through November 3, 2019. He will share the stage with Gustavo Porta in the title role, Irina Moreva as Leonora, Violeta Urmana as Azucena and Carlo Striuli as Ferrando.
Massimo Cavalletti made his Teatro Verdi debut as Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia in December 2018 and is schedule to appear there again as Marcello in La bohème this coming December. The Tuscan baritone sang his first Conte di Luna in September 2018 at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and performed it shortly thereafter at the Teatro Regio Turin. This season he is going to interpret once more this iconic Verdi role at the Teatro alla Scala Milan and the Teatro Carlo Felice Genoa.
Other upcoming engagements for Massimo Cavalletti include Don Carlo in Ernani at the Teatro Verdi Pisa, his role debut as Des Siriex in Fedora at the Teatro alla Scala, and Marcello in La bohème at the Teatro Regio Turin.
